We are passionate about recounting the story of America’s emergence to the next generation so that the noble vision and constructive intent of these early leaders becomes apparent and a viable part of the present. Our nation’s founding fathers were in a unique position to create a new government that was free, just, and balanced. They knew a perfect government was not possible in a broken world, but they were given an unprecedented opportunity to start afresh.
We will tell the history of America’s middle colonies with sensitivity to the art, access to the places, and connection to people. We will articulate a unique lens or canvas from which others can discover the hopefulness of the American story. This lens will give insight into how art, history, and technology intersected to create a culture of innovation, cooperation, and partnership and will not be polluted by political agendas or religious affiliation.
Most of the founding history of the U.S. has focused on conflict, largely being told from the perspective of New England or the southern colonies. We utilize the diverse tapestry of the middle colonies to explore the dynamic tensions, creative synthesis, and collaborative resolutions that came to characterize the American heartland. The untold stories of the middle colonies create a more vibrant and complex narrative that highlights the value of cooperation and partnership with people from many different backgrounds.
